JOY, Edward B, PhD, Professor Emeritus of Electrical and Computer
Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, where he
also received his PhD in Electrical Engineering.
Dr Joy has conducted sponsored research, teaching and consulting
in the areas of antenna and radar cross-section measurements,
radome analysis, design and measurement; and advanced antenna
development. He has consulted with over 150 organizations in his
areas of specialty, including the design of over 24 major antenna
measurement facilities, and published over 200 technical papers,
research reports, book chapters and patents, - one of which is the
flower-petal reflector antenna.
Dr Joy has presented over 300 invited seminars and short courses
in the USA, Canada, Europe, The Middle and Far East. He is the
recipient of the Georgia Tech Continuing Education Award for 1997
and of the Antenna Measurement Techniques Association Distinguished
Technical Achievement Award 1999. Dr Joy is a fellow of the IEEE,
elected in 1989.
Dr Joy has been a member of the CEI-Europe Faculty since
1990.
