Ph.D., Ericsson AB, Gothenburg Sweden.
Before Dr. Persson joined Ericsson AB he was a Research
Associate at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Stockholm,
Sweden.
At KTH his research included the development of analysis and
design tools for conformal arrays. Dr. Persson was a Visiting
Scholar at the Electro-Science Laboratory, Ohio State University,
Columbus, 2000 - 2001, involved in the development of high
frequency models for conformal antennas. He was a part-time
Visiting Scientist at Linköping University of Technology, Sweden,
2002 - 2004, involved in faceted conformal antennas studies.
At Ericsson, Patrik is working in the field called Antenna
System Technology, focusing on new antenna system solutions for
future wireless communication systems. This includes anything from
antenna hardware and concepts to deployment strategies and
measurements.
In 2002, Dr. Persson received the '2002 R.W.P. King Prize Paper
Award' by the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society. He is an
Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Antennas and
Propagation and co-author of the book 'Conformal Array Antenna
Theory and Design', John Wiley (2006).
He has been involved in the organization of several European
workshops and conferences on Conformal Antennas. He was also
elected partner of the ACE (Antenna Center of Excellence), in the
program on conformal antennas, sponsored by the 6th Framework
Research Program of the European Union, the European
Commission.
Dr. Persson has been a member of the CEI-Europe Faculty since
2007.
