Professor Michel Bousquet is Vice Dean Masters for tailored programmes at ISAE (www.isae.fr), the French Aerospace Engineering Institute of Higher Education, and director of satellite communications and navigation masters. He co-chairs the Scientific Board of TeSA, a cooperative research lab on aerospace communications and navigation. With research interest covering several facets of satellite systems, Professor Bousquet has participated to many R&D programmes and authored several papers and as well as books.

We have the pleasure of once again inviting Professor Bousquet to teach "Satellite Communication Systems" September 26-30, 2016, a course designed to provide the attendees with the relevant knowledge on satellite link design and communications techniques, including those used for broadcasting and multimedia communications. Networking aspects are introduced, focussing on physical and access layers and satellite network architectures, as well as detailed overview on satellite communication payload, repeater and antennas, and earth station technology.
