Mr. Terry Edwards is well known globally for his RF/microwave expertise in the academic sphere as well as across the industry. He is highly up to date regarding vital developments including modern MMICs designed for multimode digitally modulated communications and active electronically-scanned arrays (AESAs) forming highly agile radars.
Holding an M Phil for microwave research his experience is highly varied, ranging from systems development with Ultra Electronics (UK) to university lecturing and research before taking on industrial consultancy – focusing largely on the worldwide RF/microwave industry. Mr Edwards lectured in microwave technology at La Trobe University, Melbourne, Australia for two years and has delivered many presentations on the subject in the United States and the United Kingdom. Terry Edwards also taught the subject for the radio frequency systems M Sc course at Hull University (UK). He is probably best known for his series of books Foundations for Microstrip Circuit Design, of which the third and fourth editions were written in partnership with Professor Michael Steer of NCSU.
More recently Terry wrote the book Technologies for RF Systems. Artech House UK.
Mr. Edwards has been a member of the Continuing Education Institute-Europe Faculty since 2021.
